Labyrinth

I am walking alone on these dark narrow roads,
My heart is heavy ,
It is getting difficult to breathe.
The voices in my head are getting louder and louder,
reminding me of the night before yesterday.
champagne, soft music , your smile.you.
as if begging me to stop and turn back.
Yet, I keep walking,
Only to find myself in the middle of crossroads.
Tired,
I fall on my knees and try to untangle the broken strings that caged my soul,
Losing every breath I take, I seek myself in the same labyrinth I lost you.

Once Again..

Turn around,
Look at me.
I have been standing here
Ever since.
Waiting for you,
For this day.
Come towards me,
Look into my eyes,
And hold my hands.
Tumble in my arms and melt down.
Just for once.
You’ll never have to fall again,
I promise.
Let’s live all those nights
Nights,we spent together laughing
and make time stop.
Let’s look towards the sky ,
and see our stars align.
Let’s go on long car rides
listening to our favorite song ,
and get lost in the wild.
Let’s sit on the rooftop
and have deep conversations.

things we already know,
and create new memories.

Sea shells

I sat in the corner,

with darkness all around me.

All these years,

your voice still echoes in my heart,

like the sound of the waves

in the sea shells.

Inch by inch,

I am drowning

in the sea of your thoughts,

with every breath I take,

waiting for your hand to reach to me

and pull me out.

Gone

Amidst the hustled crowd

my eyes crave for a glimpse of you.

I call out your name

My heart is still wandering

in the lanes of your memories

trying to fill every void.

I see you.

There you stand,

Charming as always.

You turn around.

You notice me and smile,

And I am ten long steps apart

constantly staring at you.

My heart slips a beat,

the curve of my lips brighten

while tears roll down my cheeks.

I feel paralyzed.

Closing my eyes,

I try to live every moment,

a silent movie of memories,

knowing that,

it would be the last time it’s happenening,

before you are gone,

Gone forever.

Red Oak Tree

I sensed you sidling off my soul

Just like two leaves

that had grown together,

fall from the red oak tree,

drifting apart,

spurred by the wind of fate.

I stood still and smiled.

I smiled because I knew

all I could ever do was

follow your footsteps

on the sands of time.
